But despite the omnipresent crowds and the surplus of adrenaline-pumping attractions, Disney World indeed has plenty of chill rides to go around.
Theme park fans tend to flock here for thrills more than chills, from iconic cornerstones like Space Mountain and that aforementioned nightmare tower, to immersive innovations in ride technology, like Rise of the Resistance and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. If you’ve ever crammed your way into a crowded monorail or seen your life flash before your eyes as you plummet on the Tower of Terror, you might not describe Walt Disney World as “chill.” The most visited theme park on Earth, famous for its envelope-pushing rides and infamous for the hordes of tourists, Disney isn’t exactly a laid-back setting.
